Winston-Salem, N.C., March 8—Mrs. A.R. Lakey, widow of former Sheriff A.R. Lakey of Yadkin County, with her two sons, Emory and Austin, were bound over under bond of $10,000 each for trial in superior court by Judge J.L. Webb in Wilkesboro Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Lakey, the two sons and a grandson, are charged with murder in connection with the killing of the ex-sheriff, who was found dead in a shack near his home on August 21, 1923. True bills were found against them at the last term of Yadkin county court.
