King, April 14—Mr. and Mrs. P.J. Caudle of Winston-Salem spent Sunday with relatives here.

Mr. Grant Gravitt is preparing to build a new dwelling.

The regular monthly meeting of J.C. Bessent camp United Spanish War Veterans will be held in The Armory at Winston-Salem Tuesday night, May 6th. All Spanish-American War veterans in this section are especially requested to attend.

Mr. Levan Boggs has purchased from Mr. Seaton Tuttle a house and lot, consideration $500.

Mr. C.R. Newsum is preparing to erect a new home in North King.

Mr. P.H. Boone, Winston-Salem, is among the business visitors here today.

Mrs. William Loyd is very sick at her home on Main street, but little hope is retained of her recovery.

Mr. W.G. Tuttle and family, of Rural Hall, spent Sunday with relatives in Walnut Hills.

“Thunderbolt Tom,” who is holding a meeting in Mt. Airy, spent a few hours with his family here today. He states that he is having a wonderful meeting, there having been over 250 conversions.
