Cerro Gordo, April 24—At 8 o’clock Tuesday evening, April 22, the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Griffin was the scene of a marriage beautiful in its simplicity when Miss Alma Baldwin became the bride of Mr. Harry Bullock.

Miss Mildred Griffin played “Venetian Love Song” by Nevin and “Flower Song” by Lange, while the guests were being ushered into the living room which was tastefully decorated with potted plants. There the bridal party stood in tableau before a white arch gracefully entwined with ivy.

There was only the soft glow of candles to enhance the beauty and solemnity of the scene.

Just prior to the ceremony, Master George Welch sang Bond’s “I Love You Truly.” Then with Rev. F.T. Wooten officiating, the vows were spoken while Miss Griffin softly rendered “To a Wild Rose” by McDowell. The wedded couple left the room to the happy melody of Mendelssohn’s.

The only attendant, little Miss Sybil Yates, who carried the ring in the heart of a rose, was lovely in white crepe de chine and lace. The bride was becomingly gowned in dark blue canton crepe with gray accessories, carrying a beautiful corsage of bride’s roses and fern.

The large number of guests in and out of town, and the many wedding gifts attest to the esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Bullock are held by those who know them.

Mrs. Bullock has taught several years in the public schools of Columbus county. Mr. Bullock is a prosperous farmer living near Cerro Gordo.

The out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. D.C. McClary of Evergreen; Mrs. Florence Mears, Mrs. West Baldwin, Mr. Leslie Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Owens of Clarkton; Mr. and Mrs. G.B. Harker, G.B. Hooker Jr., and Miss Mildred Hooker, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. McKellor, Miss Margaret McKellar, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Stone, Mrs. W.S. Bowen, Miss Mary Elizabeth Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Tudor, Miss Frances and Dorothy Tudor and John A. Tudor Jr., Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Price of Boardman, and Misses Myrtle Thompson and Sallie Pierce of Hallsboro.
