Wilson Training School Wins Top Prize in Anti-Typhoid Vaccination Campaign, May 20, 1924

Count Given in Colored Schools. . . Prizes Awarded for Success in Anti-Typhoid Vaccination Campaign; Training School Stands First

The health board has given out a statement showing the results of the anti-typhoid campaign in the colored schools of the city.

The first prize of $10 was won by the Wilson Training school. It was given by the four colored churches. Number of pupils enrolled, 228; number taking three doses of vaccination, 198; percentage 86.

Wilson High School won the second prize, $7.50, by the Forum. Number of pupils enrolled, 218; number taking three doses of vaccination, 190; percentage 80.

The third prize, $5, was won by the Wilson Graded schools. This prize was given by the board of county commissioners. Number of pupils enrolled, 776; number taking three doses of vaccination, 526; percentage, 68.

Total number completed the three does in all the colored schools, 894. Percentage for all the schools, 74 percent.
