Mowery Sentenced to State Prison. . . Pleaded Guilty to Charge of Bigamy and Must Serve 10-Year Sentence

Greensboro, N.C., June 18—C.S. Mowery, young Winston-Salem man, today was sentenced to serve 10 years in the state prison at hard labor, and to wear a felon’s stripes by Judge Henry P. Lane, in Superior Court, following a plea of guilty to the charge of bigamy. He married Miss Mary Lewis here on September 18, 1918, and on April 4 of this year married Miss Celia Brown at Davidson College. Both young women testified against him.
