Curb Market Comes to Oxford, June 1, 1924

Branch Is Started of Curb Marketing

Oxford, May 31—J.Y. Crews, manager of the farmers’ product exchange, announces the opening of a curb market the first Saturday in June, at the exchange. This will be held each Saturday morning from 8 to 12 o’clock.

Each person will be the custodian of his own produce and will make their sales with the aid of the marketing agent and the county farm agent. This is something entirely new for Granville county, and according to those in close touch with the market, it promises to be a great benefit to the farmers of the county. The extension service and the business man of Oxford are making every effort possible to better the condition of the farmers of this county. With the hearty co-operation on the part of the farmers, something good will result from these efforts.
