Swain Hall Repaired and Now Serving Meals to 800 Students, June 20, 1924

800 at Swain Hall. . . Building Reconstructed, and Kitchen Has Much New Equipment

Swain Hall, the University’s eating place which was partially destroyed by fire last spring, was reopened this week and is now serving food to more than 800 Summer School students.

The new kitchen is almost twice the size of the one that was burned and has all modern equipment. The office and bakery have been moved from the basement to the first floor. Electric fans have been installed to insure comfort with meals.

Manager J.O. Harmon announces the following schedule for meals:

Breakfast 7:20-7:50

Breakfast Sundays and holidays, 8:15-8:45

Dinner 1:30

Supper, 6:30
