TB Clinic Identifies 80 New Cases, June 1, 1924

Total Results of the Recent Clinic. . . Many Persons Examined and Record of Their Standing on Tuberculosis

The tuberculosis clinic which has been conducted for the past two weeks in this city by Dr. S.E. Lee, from the Sanatorium, came to a close Saturday afternoon, according to the time limit set for its duration here. But Dr. Lee has been instructed to remain in Durham during the present week, and devote his time to West Durham, as quite a number of persons in that place made application for examination, and many of them could not be reached on the two days that Dr. Lee held the clinic there the first of last week.

The result of the clinic held in the county the past two weeks is summed up as follows:

--Total number of persons examined, 177.

--White, 103. Of this number there were 55 positives; 21 probable; 4 doubtful; 43 negative.

--Colored, 74. 25 positives; 16 probable, 34 negative.
