Mrs. Enoch Price and Miss Ora Wilson have returned from a week’s stay at Moore’s Springs.
James B. Richardson has returned home from a visit with relatives at High Point and Greensboro.
Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bishopric left Friday night for a visit with relatives in Canada for a month.
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. T. Smith are gone to Wrightsville Beach for their vacation.
Mrs. Leslie Barksdale, who is attending summer school at N.C.C.W. Greensboro, spent the week-end at home.
George Suttenfield Jr. of near Detroit, Mich., is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Suttenfield, Matrimony Heights.
Rev. J. Edwin Franklin and wife and son of Winston-Salem are visiting relativges in Spray during his vacation.
Miss Mary Sue Farrell, who is attending summer school at Chapel Hill, is very much indisposed for several days with tonsilitis.
Mr. and Mrs. John Dyer and daughter, Doris, spent Sunday with Mr. Dyer’s mother, Mrs. B.H. Dyer, on Boone Road.
Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Snead of Charlotte and Mrs. R.L. Snead of Pilot Mountain were visiting relatives in town yesterday.
Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Church of Winston-Salem are visiting their daughter, Mrs. F.L. Hege on Bridge Street.
Miss Mary Merriweather and the young people have been spending a week at the Playground and are expected home today.
Misses Catherine Austin and Henriette Reid spent the week-end at their home, returning to Chapel Hill this morning to resume their studies for two weeks at summer school.
Messrs. D.L. Smith and G.C. Smith motored to Elamsville, Va., Sunday to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.P. Smith. G.C. Smith will spend a few days at home before returning to Leaksville.
Rev. M.S. Huske of Reidsville preached a very able sermon last night at the Leaksville Presbyterian Church. His text was from Isaiah, the 1st chapter. Rev. Huske also installed Mr. T.L. Smith as elder and Mr. N.H. McCollum and J.F. McConnel as deacons of this church.
On next Saturday night an ice cream supper will be given at Providence Church west of town. The proceeds to go for the benefit of the church. Home-made cream and cake will be served.
Mrs. W.G. McCollum and daughter, Miss Gertrude, returned last night from Morristown, Tenn., where they visited Mrs. McCollum’s sister, Mrs. Reams.
