Mrs. V.G. Smith Killed When Auto Is Hit by Train

Fayetteville, N.C., July 14—Mrs. V.G. Smith was killed and her husband, Rev. V.G. Smith, pastor of a Presbyterian church at Parkton, was seriously injured when their automobile was struck by an Atlantic Coast Line passenger train at Parkton last night. Rev. Mr. Smith is in a local hospital today where it is said he probably will recover. Mrs. Smith’s body was taken to Farmville, Va., today for burial.
