Carl Benfield of King’s Business College, Charlotte, is spending the week-end here with Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Moore.

Brown Lee Goodman has returned from Skull-Kap Camp.

Mrs. Chal White and children left Friday night for Bedford, Va., where they will spend several weeks with Mrs. White’s mother.

McKinley McClellan, Dewey Sappenfield, Luther McEachern, Robert Kestler and LeRoy Miler left Friday night for Morehead City, where they will spend the night with Company E.

Mrs. W.M. Fisher has returned from Charlotte after visiting Mrs. C.T. Deal. Mrs. Deal accompanied her home.

Miss Pauline Cole of Durham will arrive in the city this afternoon to visit Mrs. R.M. Cook.

Mrs. Luther Lee has returned to her home in Gastonia after spending several weeks here.

P.A. Carpenter and family, of Lincolnton, are visiting the family of J.H.A. Holshouser.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Overcash and daughters, Misses Ruth and France and Ethel Robinson, have returned from a visit of several days to Blowing Rock and Linville City.

Homer, Ray and Clarence Dry, of Tiffin Orphanage, Tiffin, Ohio, are visiting their mother, Mrs. Betty Dry.

Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Cook and children, Ruby and Eunice Cook, Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Cook and Robert Cook Jr., took supper with Rev. and Mrs. C.A. Brown in China Grove Tuesday night.

Walter Hoover Jr. of Charlotte will spend the week-end with Joe and M.L. Widenhouse Jr., at their home on East Corbin street.

Mrs. E.V. Correll and children, of Hiddenite, will spend several days here with relatives.

Mrs. J.P. Cook is spending some time at Rock River Springs.

A.S. Webb and family are spending the week-end with Mr. Webb’s sister, Mrs. H.L. Cannon of Guilford College.

Miss Ruth Legion of Gaffney, S.C., is visiting Miss Georgia Elizabeth Calloway. Col. W.W. Marshbanks of Edenton arrived in town Friday and will spend several weeks visiting his daughter, Mrs. G.A. Martin.

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Correll have returned from their tour to the mountains of North Carolina and are at the home of Mrs. Correll’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. H.C. Herring, on West Depot Street.
