Heart Attack Kills C.T. Scott, 69, Aug. 22, 1924

C.T. Scott Dies of Quick Heart Attack

Charles Thomas Scott, aged 69, died suddenly of heart failure shortly before 9 o’clock Wednesday night at his home on Church Street, this city. Mr. Scott passed away in his chair on the porch after complaining of an attack of indigestion. He was raised in this county, had long been identified with the farming interests, and is a partner in the firm of Brock & Scott Produce Co., was well known throughout this section.

The funeral services will be conducted from the home of Dr. Templeman, Pastor of the First Baptist church, Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock, and interment will be made in Hollywood Cemetery.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Sophie Scott, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George B. Davis of Weeksville, Mrs. J.S. Tucker of Hertford, and Mrs. W.C. Twiddy of this city; one son, Shelton G. Scott of this city; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Seth and Walter Scott of Weeksville, and three sisters, Mrs. W.A. Halstead, Mrs. John Farrell, and Miss Emma Scott, all of Weeksville.
