Miss Anna Ruth Morgan is Bride of George Harrell, Aug. 16, 1924

Hertford, Aug. 16—The marriage of Miss Anna Ruth Morgan of this city and Mr. George Harrell of Hobgood was solemnized this morning at 5 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Morgan.

Miss Sue Frank White, cousin of the bride, was the only attendant. Mr. Owen Parker of Hobgood acted as best man.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and the ceremony was performed by Rev. N.C. Yearby, pastor of the Methodist church. Just before the ceremony Miss Catherine Skinner of Elizabeth City sang “At Dawning.”

Mr. and Mrs. Harrell left for Avon Park, Florida, and upon their return will make their home at Hobgood.

A dinner for the bridal party and out-of-town guests was given at the Morgan home Friday evening, and a reception was given at the home of Dr. and Mrs. G.E. Newby Friday afternoon.

Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Joyner of Farmville, Miss Catherine Skinner of Elizabeth City, Miss Eva Mae Howell of Norfolk, Messrs. Owen Parker of Hobgood and David Cox of Norfolk.
