Mission Study Class at Mrs. Ray's, Sept. 23, 1924

Mission Study Class Meets with Mrs. R.P. Ray

The first meeting of the autumn for the Mission Study class of the Methodist church was held yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R.P. Ray.

A number of interesting talks were made. Mrs. Ezzell read “Law Observance,” which was Lincoln’s message warning the American people. Mrs. Geo. H. Clark spoke on “Law Enforcement,” of a manufacturing city, in reference to the prohibition law. Mrs. Sam Wilson read of “Concession of the Prohibitionists. Mrs. R.P. Ray had a reading on “Effect of Prohibition and of Light Wines and Beer.” Mrs. Nannie Oould gave a reading, “Watch Your Primaries.” Mrs. E.E. Richardson read from Dr. Charles Mayo, noted surgeon, entitled “Warns Youth to Shun Alcoholic Beverages.”

Each reading was discussed by the members, making it a very interesting and helpful meeting.
