Mrs. M.E. Dillard Has Died in Roanoke, Va., Sept. 6, 1924

Mother of Local Man Died Friday

Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Dillard have been called to Roanoke, Va., on account of the death of Mr. Dillard’s mother, Mrs. M.E. Dillard. Mrs. Dillard died Friday evening at 11 o’clock after an illness of some time. Despite her illness, her death came as a distinct shock to relatives and friends.

The message was received here soon after her death. Because of the late hour of her death, the funeral arrangements were not made Friday night.
