Officers Capture Thomas Freeman

Deputy Sheriff Walter Strider of Pisgah, assisted by C.H. Lucas, captured Thomas Freeman, who escaped from the Rowan county road force about three months ago, in Union township Sunday. Freeman was sent to the roads from this county several months ago after having been convicted of assault with deadly weapon and sentence to a term of 18 months on the roads. He had served seven months of this time when he made his escape. A reward of $50 had been offered for his capture. He was taken back to the road force Tuesday afternoon.
