A marriage that is of interest to the many friends of the contracting parties was solemnized last night, when Miss Lena Elizabeth Jones became the bride of Leamon R. McCotter of Washington. The ceremony was performed at 8:30 by Dr. J.W. Harrell, pastor of Centenary Methodist church, at the resident of Dewey Jones, the bride’s brother, 5 Short Street.
Mr. and Mrs. McCotter left immediately after the marriage for Washington, N.C., where they will make their home.
