Successful Revival at Fort Barnwell, Nov. 12, 1924

Successful Revival Held Ft. Barnwell. . . Dr. Z.V. Parker and Ernest Gillikin Conducted Two Weeks’ Series of Meetings

A most successful revival was held during the last two weeks in Fort Barnwell Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Z.V. Parker of the first Baptist Church, of this city, president of the Laymen’s Christian Federation, and Ernest Gillikin of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of this city.

Marked enthusiasm was shown by almost every citizen of Fort Barnwell, men, women and children of all ages taking great interest in the services held every night. An active Christian Federation has been started there and many improvements have taken place in the town. Statistics kept during the two weeks’ revival by Mr. J.F. Boone of the Women’s Christian Federation show that there were 85 conversions; 45 additions to the Fort Barnwell Baptist Church; 40 candidates for baptism; and 108 professions of renewed Christian faith.
