By Brock Barkley in Charlotte Observer
Raleigh, Dec. 8—From Concord comes good news to the Capital city friends of Major W.A. Foil, who has the promise of his physicians [that he will be able] to take his seat in the Senate when the legislature convenes on January 7th.
Major Foil has been under the care of the doctors for some weeks and friends had been concerned for fear he would be unable to serve in the Seante. Word form Concord is that he is greatly improved and expects to be in fine shape by opening day. Major Foil was elected in the Cabarrus-Mecklenburg district in the general election. His colleague is Hamilton O. Jones of Charlotte.
