George Ford Has Died of Bright's Disease, Jan. 19, 1925

Death of Trusted Colored Man

George Ford, trusted colored employe of the Concord Steam Laundry for over 20 years, died at his home Thursday afternoon about 4 o’clock as a result of Bright’s Disease. He had been suffering with this disease for over a year.

George entered the employ of the laundry two years after R.E. Ridenhour, the present owner, bought it and remained with him as a most faithful employe until last hear when he due to the attack of the disease, he was forced to discontinue work for a while, after which he worked only very irregularly.

He was over 60 years of age at the time of death and is survived by his wife and a large family of children. The funeral will be conducted Sunday.
