Funeral services of Mrs. Wesley Thompson, about 70 years old, wife of one of Robeson county’s most prominent planters, were conducted this afternoon at the home near McDonald. Interment was made in the family burying plot near Ashbury church, Raynham.
Deceased had been in ill health for about two months, a stroke of paralysis about a week ago bringing on serious complications, which resulted in death last night about 6 o’clock. She was one of the most highly respected women in that section of the county, and leaves her husband and three daughters to mourn their loss.
