There seems to be right much sickness through this section at this writing.

Cranford Hoyle of Trinity spent the week-end with his brother, Rev. J.W. Hoyle Jr.

Miss Willie Shaw of Greensboro spent the week-end with Miss Frances Tucker.

Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Groome and family visited the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Coble, Sunday.

Misses Lillie O’Quinn and Mary Dunn of Guilford College was [were] the week-end visitors of Misses Ruby and Esther Layton.

Misses Effie Spivey and Swanna Craven, who have been on the sick list, are able to be out again.

E.D. Idol spent the week-end at Raleigh where he attended a teacher’s assembly.

Miss Etrudlia Hearne is on the sick list at this writing.

Connor Kennett of State College, Raleigh, spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. J.C. Kennett.

Paul Kirkman of Winston-Salem was a visitor here Sunday.

Several of our people have taken interest in the electric light plant and a number of homes are being wired at this writing.

Misses Ruby and Esther Layton entertained a number of their friends at their home here Saturday night in honor of their week-end guests, Misses Lillie O’Quinn and Mary Dunn. A number of games were played and music selections were also enjoyed. Refreshments consisting of fruits and candies were served.
