School Tax Rates Vary from 23 Cents to 90 Cents in N.C., Feb. 11, 1925

Working for Equal School Tax in All Counties of North Carolina

The state superintendent of schools of North Carolina is trying to get the present legislature to so adjust the present school tax that it will be the same rate in every county.

It now is from 23 cents on up to 90 cents in some counties; 63 being the rate in Wilkes outside of the towns this year.
