Mrs. June Childers celebrated the 101st anniversary of her birth on Sunday, March 8, at the home of her son, Mr. Dill Mason, in Dillsboro. Many of Mrs. Childers’ children and grandchildren were present. Despite her advanced age, Mrs. Childers was in her usual good health and enjoyed the day as much as anyone in the company. She is the oldest citizen of Jackson county.
