Milton Thompson of Whiteville and Miss Marie Hobbs of Hallsboro were quietly married in Whiteville last Wednesday night at 8 o’clock by Rev. I.T. Newton. Both the young people are well known and popular here. Mr. Thompson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Thompson of this town. Miss Hobbs is an attractive young woman and had many friends in her home at Hallsboro where she lived with her mother. The couple has the congratulations of their friends in this section.
