Mrs. Lillie Tatum Died on Tuesday

Winston-Salem, July 22—Mrs. Lillie Tatum, aged 43 years, wife of J.M. Tatum of Stokes county, died Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital at 4:15 o’clock. He had been ill for a week and was removed to the hospital a few days ago.

She was the daughter of the late Reuben Brown. She was a member of Palmyra Methodist church in Stokes county and was a devout Christian woman, having a large circle of friends in her community.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Preston, Ollis, Claude, Hattie, Lillie Mae, and Wilson Tatum, all of Stokes; also two sisters and one brother, Mrs. C.J. Johnson and Mrs. Ada Lewis of Stokes county, Reuben and Noah Brown of Baltimore, Md., and Will Brown of Walnut Cove.

The funeral service will be conducted at Palmyra Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. Mr. Ratledge. Interment will take place in the church graveyard.
