12-Year-Old Turk McBee Charms Audience with Xylophone Music, Aug. 25, 1925

Turk McBee Pleases Audience Monday Night. . . 12-Year-Old Xylophonist Presents Remarkable Program at the Concord Theatre

Turk McBee, the 12-year-old xylophonist who is playing during the first three days of this week at the Concord theatre, charmed his audience Monday night with his music.

His accurate and versatile playing of his instrument was a marvel to persons who heard him. The attraction is easily one of the best the Concord Theatre has had to offer recently.

The boy, though he plays like a professional, is said to have learned only three months ago. His technique is very remarkable for one who has played such a short time. His ability to perform all the latest jazz tricks shows that he has unusual musical ability.
