Messages were received here by relatives Sunday announcing the death of Allman McKoy (Obie) Herrings of near Wallace. He died Sunday in the James Walker Memorial hospital, Wilmington, where he was taken for treatment several days ago. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Rock Fish Presbyterian church. Rev. Mr. Curry, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial followed in the nearby cemetery.
He is survived by his wife and several children. Mrs. J.W. Boney of Clinton was an aunt.
