Albemarle Man Becomes Vice Commander of American Legion

Lexington, Aug. 31—J.M. Caldwell of Albemarle was elected vice commander of the North Carolina department of the American Legion at a meeting of the executive committee of the department at the office of Major Wade H. Phillips, department commander. Mr. Caldwell succeeds H.W. Chandlee.
