W.S. Padget Fined For Keeping Kids Out of School, Sept. 3, 1925

Violates Compulsory School Law

W.S. Padget of Oakboro was brought before Judge Ingram last Monday charged with violating the compulsory school law, in that he had failed to send his children to school. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $25 and the cost, by the court.

Padget has been living in Oakboro since last February, having moved there from South Carolina.
