Brooks Case Will Not Be Finished Today. . . Court Attendants Think Jury Will Not Be Given Case Before Wednesday

Hendersonville, N.C., Oct. 19 (AP)—Arguments were resumed today in the case of Bonnie L. Brooks on trial here for murder in connection with the slaying of former Mayor Sam Y. Bryson on one of the principal streets of Hendersonville.

J.E. Shipman, opening for the defense, was expected to continue his arguments to the jury in an effort to save Brooks from a death sentence throughout the greater part of the day. R.R. Reynolds, prosecution attorney, will follow.

It is not believed by court attendants that the case will go to the jury until Wednesday morning.
