Mrs. Corbell, Mrs. Nixon Re-Elected Women's Club Officers, Oct. 2, 1925

Re-Elect Women’s Club Officers at Sunbury

Mrs. E.F. Corbell was re-elected president and Mrs. S.E. Nixon, also of Sunbury, was re-elected secretary at the annual district meeting of the Women’s Club which met in Sunbury Wednesday with an attendance of about 300. The meetings have heretofore been held in the Spring, but on account of the State Convention being held at that time, the district meetings are now scheduled for the Fall.

The meeting which was held in the Sunbury High School auditorium was devoted largely to business, with Mrs. E.F. Corbell presiding. The welcome address was made by Mrs. S.I. Harrell, prominent Sunbury club woman. Mrs. J.G. Fearing, president of the Elizabeth City club, responded for the clubs of the district. At the close of the meeting, a delightful dinner was served cafeteria style.
