Mrs. Zimmery Gibson, 71, Dies While Doing Chores, Nov. 9, 1925

Death of Mrs. Zimmery Gibson

By Bessie G. Johnson

St. Paul, Nov. 9—The death of Mrs. Zimmery Gibson which occurred Tuesday night at her home west of town, was particularly sad. She was found unconscious that morning as short distance from the home by members of the family who went to search for her when she did not return after a reasonable length of time while engaged in some chores on the place, when it is supposed, paralysis ensued. She was 71 years old and was seemingly in her usual health when stricken.

Funeral services were held at the grave Wednesday afternoon at 3:30. The pastor, Rev. Ivey T. Poole, officiating. Deceased held membership with the local E.M. Church. Interment took place in the family plot in the town cemetery, where a number of friends and relatives gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to their departed friend. Besides the husband, who has been in ill health for some time, a son, Mr. Will Gibson, who lived a short distance away, and a daughter, Mrs. Mangrum, who resides in Florida, survive. The latter was called to her mother’s death, but could not arrange to come.
