Queens College Organizes Latin Club, Isabel Smith Elected President, Nov. 14, 1925

Latin Club Organized at Queens. . . Most Recent Organization on Campus

Friday afternoon, November 6, the most recent club of Queens College, “Reginae Latinae” was organized. The first meeting was held in Pi Delta Hall at 3:30 for the purpose of electing officers. The following have been chosen for the executive committee for the coming year:

Isabel Smith, President

Kathleen Gurley, Vice-President

Gretta Waggoner, Secretary

Sara Scruggs, Treasurer

Alta Yelvington, Press Reporter

Miss Edwards, Faculty Advisor

The regular meeting of the club is to be held on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30. The place of meeting will be announced at intervals by the various hostesses. Viola DuRant and Bernice Tomberlin are in charge of the Social Committee for November.

The purpose of the club is to become familiar with the customs, habits and morals of “those famous men about whom we read but know nothing.” At the same time, the club is planning something that the writer does not see fit to publish at present.
