Of interest to friends of the contracting parties was the marriage at New Bern of Miss Polly Tew of Nashville, Tenn., to Mr. George Cook of this city, the ceremony being performed in the city on the Neuse in the presence of several friends of the contracting parties.
The marriage was the result of a romance which began in Florida where the couple met some months ago.
Mr. Cook has made his home in Goldsboro for some weeks, being connected with the Serve-Us Market and has made many friends since coming here.
The bride is most attractive young lady and has a large circle of friends in her home city.
They expect to continue to make their home here.
