A small Plymouth Rock chicken proudly walked into a church in the county yesterday afternoon, strutted across to the altar and on up to the preacher, and stood there looking at the minister with a “Peep, peep” noise while the minister urged the congregation to life in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally, after the minister had asked that the chicken not be disturbed, it waslked out of the pulpit, went back under the seats and disappeared into nobody knows where. After the services some of the people approached the preacher, who happened to be a Methodist, to ask about the whereabouts of the lost fowl.
