Old Trap Store Burns

The store of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Burgess at Old Trap was the prey of flames early Saturday morning, the damage being estimated at $5,000 to $6,000., with almost $3,700 insurance on stock and fixtures. The origin of the fire is unknown. The fire threatened the store of R. N. Pugh & Co., and the home of Mrs. T. G. Garrenton, but strenuous work on the part of local volunteers saved these.
