Mrs. P. G. Curtis, 38, Died Sept. 5, 1926

Death of Mrs. P. G. Curtis

A very sad but not unexpected death occurred on Sunday, September 5, 1926, when the soul of Mrs. P. G. Curtis took its flight from earth to glory, at the age of 38 years.

She had been in failing health for the last year and all that tender and loving hands could do for her was done. She was a faithful mother and wife, and will be greatly missed by all.

Many have been the tokens and expressions of sympathy tendered and grief stricken family by numerous kind friends, but the sweetest comfort to them is the blessed thought that their loved one has been transplanted from the sorrows of earth to the joys of Heaven, and while she cannot come to them, they can go to her, if faithful and true to the Father’s teachings. She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her death.

The funeral services were conducted at the Zebulon Methodist church on Monday afternoon by her pastor, Rev. E. M. Hall, amid a throng of friends and loved ones. She was laid to rest in the Zebulon cemetery. A large number of people were present to show their sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.

May the Holy Spirit, our comforter, greatly comfort the sad hearts of those left behind.
