MRS. G.B. REGISTER

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. G.B. Register, 72, at the home of her son, Ellis Register, Near Warsaw, Wednesday afternoon by Rev. W.F. Walters. She was interred at the family cemetery near Magnolia.

She is survived by her four sons and three daughters: George, Lent, Ellis, and Alton Register, all of near Warsaw, and Mrs. Eliza Tucker of Tarboro, Mrs. Lizzie Inman of Rocky Mount, and Mrs. Lou Cook of Warsaw.

LEMUEL REGISTER

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at his home for Lemuel Register of near Wallace, who died Sunday. Interment followed at the Rock Fish Cemetery, where Rev. W.P.M. Currie conducted the services.

Many of his friends and relatives attended the burial. He was a prominent Duplin County man.

MARGARET WILEY

Miss Margaret Wiley of Warsaw died in a hospital in Greenville Wednesday night. She was the daughter of Mrs. J.P. Wiley and the late J.P. Wiley of that town.

Her death came unexpectedly, and was a shock to her family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at her home Friday and she will be interred in Pinecrest Cemetery.

LINDY THELMA GRADY

Our whole community was saddened this week by the death of Mrs. Lindy Thela Grady on Monday morning at 8:00. She had been sick for a few days, but was not thought to be seriously ill until a few hours before her death.

Mrs. Grady was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kenney of Kenansville RFD. She was born August 26, 1913, and received her education at the Beulaville School. On March 9, 1935 she married J. Marion Grady, and the young couple have been making their home on a farm in their old home community. She leaves one son, James Robert, who is 22 months old. She was a member of the Hallsville Presbyterian Church and a faithful member of the Sunday school and the Auxiliary. She was a lovely character and loved by all her knew her.

Besides her husband, son and parents, she is survived the following brothers and sisters: Leonard, Larry, Lehman, Leroy, Milton, Leo and Lena.

Funeral services were conducted at her home Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 by her pastor, Rev. F.L. Goodman, and interment was in the O’Daniel Cemetery in the community. Pallbearers were A.H. Miller, Sidney Smith, Woodrow Jackson, David (can’t read), S. Herman Hanstan, Leo Jackson, Eli Thomas, and Whild Thomas. Flower girls were Mrs. Herman H??ton and Misses Hazel Williams, Annie Bandlin, Eliza Graham, Sybil Swindell, Helen Jackson, Rosie Thomas, Annie Mae Houston, Sue Neil Kennedy, Victoria Gooding, Lillian Albertson, Davis Gresham, Anne Mae Smith, Elmer Carroll, Josephine Carroll and O.O. Smith. There was a beautiful floral offering.
