56 Loans for New Homes, Repairs to Existing Homes, Made in Single Day, Feb. 16, 1921

Directors of the First Building and Loan Association at their meeting yesterday afternoon approved 56 loans totaling $79,125, the amount to be used in building new residences and repairing homes. It was one of the largest amounts ever approved at a single meeting and indicates considerable new building in Hickory this year.
