Mr. J.R. Boyd has bought from Mr. G.H. Morgan the latter’s property in Longview.
Mr. L.L. Hatfield will leave this evening for Baltimore, Md., to be gone for several weeks.
Mr. Clem Geitner, who spent several months in Albuquerque, N.M., returned home yesterday.
Miss Helen Springs will entertain the Do As You Please Club Friday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock instead of Thursday afternoon as previously planned.
Mr. W.T. Sledge and milliner, Miss Veda Lutz, have returned from the northerm markets where they purchased milllinery and stock for the W.T. Sledge store.
Mrs. L.A. McKee of Windy City, who underwent an operation yesterday morning at Richrd Baker Hospital, stood the operation well and is progressing nicely.
Mr. J.L. Cilley has purchased from Mrs. C.M. Munroe the Dr. Munroe property facing both Tenth and Eleventh avenues nt he street adjoining the property of Mr. P.A. Setzer.
Cards from War, W. Va., announce the birth of a son, A.M. Jr., to Mr. and Mrs. Alex Harmon. Mrs. Harmon was formerly Miss Rosebud Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V.D. Brown of this city. Mrs. Brown is with her daughter.
Misses Lottie Suttlemyer, Edity Suttlemyer, Della Bumgarner, Lucile Bumgarner and Mrs. Laurie Deal went to Mooresville this morning to attend the wedding at 5:30 o’clock this afternoon of Miss Celeste Carpenter to Mr. Hunter Rudisill of Cherryville. Miss Carpenter is a cousin of Misses Suttlemyre and has visited them on frequent occasion. She was also a student at Lenoir College. Mr. Rudisill was also a student at the college and has many friends here.
