J.A. Sherrill Died at Home Near Granite Falls, Jan. 16, 1921

Lenoir, Feb. 8—Mr. J.A. Sherrill died at his home near Granite Falls on January 16, and was buried at Rocky Mount graveyard on the 17. The funeral services being conducted by Rev. Reavis and J.M. Shaver. He died of pneumonia being sick only about a week. He leaves a wife and one son and one daughter. Mr. Sherrill was a successful farmer and a prominent man in the community in which he lived. Saturday afternoon in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Samuel Martin died of pneumonia and his remains were brought here Monday. The funeral was conducted from the house and interment was made in Belleview cemetery. Samuel was the youngest child of Mr. And Mrs. H.C. Martin, and has always been a delicate boy. He is survived by his parents and one brother and sister, Mrs. J.R. Todd and H.C. Martin Jr. Of Charlotte. The deepest sympathy of a host of friends goes out to the family in tis deep grief.
