Halifax County Club Girls Camping Aug. 9-13, 1921

Halifax County’s First Encampment for Club Girls

An encampment has been planned for every club girl in Halifax County at Panacea Springs Aug. 9th to 13th. Tents have been provided for living quarters while at the camp. A ration list has been sent each girl so that a proportionate individual supply from home may be brought to last thru camp. The girls will be divided into squads to do the cooking and other duties. The meals will be served cafeteria style.

In the morning, instruction periods consisting of basketry, millinery, dress design, and health lectures by efficient instructors will be held. The afternoons and evenings will be given over to swimming, games, singing and other wholesome recreation. The camp will be chaperoned by the instructors and patrols of the girls who will attend.

On Saturday, Aug. 13th, a big wind-up picnic has been planned. The community people from every community in the county are invited and urged to join the camp on that day. All are requested to brin a picnic lunch as it will not be practical to prepare lunch at the cam for every one. Every patron and friends will receive a hearty welcome at any time they may find convenient to visit the camp. We shall look for you.
