Salisbury, Aug. 8—After a useful career covering 25 years or more, the Whitehead-Stokes sanatorium, Salisbury’s only hospital, has closed its doors temporarily. There is a movement on foot to take this institution over as a general hospital and a committee is securing subscribers to stock for this purpose. For the present, the city is without a place to take the sick or injured.
