Mr. John L. Hassell, who was temporary Cashier of the Peoples Bank, has returned to his work with J.L. Hassell and Company, and Mr. R.M. Riddick Jr. has taken his place as Cashier of the bank. Mr. Riddick is from Gatesville, North Carolina, and was for 13 years associated with the Bank of Gates. For the last few years he has been President of The Planters Savings Bank in Gatesville and comes to us with splendid recommendations. Mr. Riddick will bring his family here soon and will be a helpful addition to the business and social life of the town.
