Body of Mrs. Odeall Ellis, 57, Arrives in Charlotte, March 5, 1922

Mrs. Ellis to be Buried Here Today

The body of Mrs. Odeall Ellis, aged 57, wife of Rev. J.L. Ellis, who died at her home in Kings Mountain Saturday morning, arrived in the city later in the day.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.J. Scott, 321 North McDowell street, by Rev. Dr. W.W. Orr, pastor of East Avenue Tabernacle. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Ellis had been ill for five years. Her death Saturday morning was not unexpected.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. W.J. Scott, Mrs. C.R. Willman, J.H. Stack, of Charlotte; Mrs. J.W. Freeman of Kings Mountain and J.W. Stack of Monroe.
