Miss Fannie Holmes, for many years an employe of the Guilford hotel here, died Friday night at a hospital here, death being caused by a heart attack. She lived only a short while after being stricken. The body was taken to Statesville for funeral services and interment Saturday. He leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Holmes of Statesville, and five brothers and sisters.
