Those who have seen the fine field of oats of Mr. B.B. Brummitt on the Dickerson-Fairport road state that it is the finest stand they have ever seen. The stalks stand about four feet high throughout the field and the yield will be great.
Mr. Brummitt also has one of the finest gardens in the county, and he is now enjoying English peas and eight other varieties of fresh vegetables gathered from his garden.
Mr. Brummitt has always stood for quality and not quantity, and this year, it would seem, he will be blessed with both quality and quantity. He generally winds up the tobacco season with a load that sells for $100 for 100 pounds.
