Currituck Farmers Will Plant Late Watermelons

Currituckians are going to make use of the land on which their frost despoiled early potatoes were planted, by putting it in a crop of watermelons. Many farmers in lower Currituck are planting their melons this week.

Late watermelons coming off the latter part of August and September usually bring a good price.
