Wilburn Bates, James Eaton Acquitted of Larceny, May 10, 1922

Wilburn Bates, charged with the larceny of an automobile belonging to James Eaton of Cana, was given a preliminary trial Friday afternoon before Esqs. V.E. Swaim and G.E. Horn. After hearing all the evidence in the case, the defendant was acquitted. Dock Michell was also charge with being implicated in the theft, but he was also turned loose, not being required to stand trial.
